Saga begins of number 3 and 4

Second doctors appointment for the twins was today. Much to my relief they are both still in there and I could see their tiny arms/legs (hard to distinguish which was which:-) moving all over the place. I really like my doctor, he is very laid back and supportive. ME "can I keep running"  . . . HE "go for it"  ME"will I every stop puking?"  HE"most likely" . . .  ME"am I going to get stretch marks"? . . . .HE"yes, 100% of twin moms do". Hmmm, not what I was wanting to hear, depressing to think my last go round with a two piece was last week at family swim:-) I felt as big as a house when I was pregnant with Hannah and Kayla, now I am picturing a small apartment complex for this go round.
When I got home Tim and I looked over our newest pictures of twin A and twin B. He asked me what I was most nervous about and I said it was losing one of them. I asked him what he was most nervous about . . . and his response suprised me. He said "I am worried that they will look alike and I will mix them up and not know who is who" Which is why Tim hopes that they are fraternal, I guess we have a few more weeks before we find out if we can put his fears to rest.
So here is my first pregnant picture of myself, and I reserve the right to make it my last:-)

swimming saves lives

Hannah is just starting to "swim" on her own. I use that term VERY loosely as she is only really going about 10 feet and is using the ever so popular dog paddle. We have been swimming twice in the last couple of weeks and she loves the water. Kayla on the other hand is very attached to the steps, she tolerates the water and can be tricked off them for a back ride, but demands to be put back after not too long. Up next, swimming lessons for the both of them, that along with signing up for soccer should assure us some tired girls come bed time!!

Epic Snow Fall!

It started at the end of February . . . the snow, the snow the snow!! And it is STILL lurking around making for slushy drive, late starts and week of missed Kindergarten for Hannah. To celebrate my Dad's birthday(it's number shall remain unlisted) on Sunday the the girls and their cousins played outside in our "liquid gold" for over 2 hours. The pictures clearly prove that the grown ups enjoyed the snow nearly as much as the kids. Today all we have left is the base of the snowman and a sad looking castle, but the fun was in building it!

Singing

Just had to post the girls newest favorite song. They don't always get the words all right, but when it is played in church they swell up with pride because they know the words. It gives Tim and I delight to hear them belt out the words with no bashfulness in sight. Lord we lift your name on high!

Hiking

It was a beautiful, but cold, weekend in Mount Vernon and being that we live about 2 miles from some great hiking, we took the girls on their first "real" hike. Real meaning they walked the whole way without being carried. They called themselves adventures much like Russell from the movie "UP", they even looked around for snipes! I was very impressed and next adventure we will do the whole hike instead of driving half way up:-) The top gave way to excellent views reminding us of our awesome Creator who made things so beautiful that picture don't due it justice.

gadgets

For Christmas the girls got a cake decorating set from Papa and Nana. Baking is something we really enjoy doing together, so while Daddy was busy at work we set to starting our first project. With a slight learning curve (created by me, who knew you needed to read the directions:-) We set about our maiden voyage of cupcake decorating. It was a blast, the decorator is battery operated and had a plethora of attachments to use. Hannah jumped right in and did the first one, Kayla was a little more interested in eating the frosting but she also tried her hand at it. We will be using this fun decorating tool again soon! Thank you Papa and Nana!!!

Breaking the Ice

So . . . . where to begin? I have been a poor mother in making memory books for our children so I thought I would give blogging a shot to capture our memories before they become . . . well, just that . . . only a memory:-) Also to provide our family and friends from far away a glimpse into our life on a daily, weekly or monthly basis (depending how often I get around to posting:-)
I hope this makes me take more pictures, write more descriptions and just plain keep track our adventures!
There . . . post one done . . . . no too painful!
